Tips for ending the homework battles
Tip #1
Find the perfect spot for your child to focus. It can be the kitchen table or another location in the house with not many distractions.
Tip #2
Pick the perfect time that works for you and your child. If your child has sports make a routine of doing homework after dinner. If your child has evening activities, start homework after school.
Tip #3
Positive reinforcement! Some school work is just plain hard! 1/2x + 2 = 4y
Like what?? Praise your child for trying and praise them more when they get 100% on their homework! Cause you knew you weren't figuring it out.
Tip #4
Take a Break. If your child has lots of homework or they're struggling with it. Take a 10 minute break and do something fun. Then it's back to work.
Tip #5
You can help. Only if your child is doing the work, thinking, problem solving....life skills that will help them be stronger students.
